River beach on Lake Aguieira 2km from the villa:
Within 2km of Pregoinho it is possible to swim in Lake Aguieira at a river beach where the old road disappears into the lake, but there is a popular and well-equipped beach at Senhora da Ribeira, near Pinheiro de Ázere, about 8km from the villa. Here you will be able to hire watercraft, swim from a sandy beach, and relax in waterfront restaurants.
Santa Comba Dão from the air:
Santa Comba Dão is a typical Portuguese provincial town with all the facilities you might need. Within half an hour or so by car are the large town of Viseu and the city of Coimbra.
